Frequently Asked Question
There are many network-enabled printers at each school site. Access to these printers is restricted based on job position and school assignment (for example, it doesn't make sense for a Paraeducator at Anderson Middle School to have access to the Meadow Lane Library printer).
NOTE: All staff members are expected to print to the large copiers in site staff rooms and front offices using uniFLOW for general printing, especially when printing large quantities or making many copies. The cost of printing a page on the large copiers is several times cheaper than printing elsewhere. These additional network printers are primarily for use in Special Education rooms and other areas that frequently need to print.
To add a printer onto your Windows computer (this works for Windows laptops, communal workstations, and Viewboards), start typing "Printers" into the search bar at the bottom of your screen, then click on the [Printers & Scanners] result.
Here you can view all the printers currently added onto your computer, as well as add new ones. Click the [Add a printer or scanner] button to add a new printer. It will take a few moments to load all of the available devices.
You will see many printers appear in the list, but will only be able to add those that your group(s) have been granted access to.
Click on the printer you would like to add and then select the [Add device] button.
If you are in a group that has access to the printer, it will be added and printing will become available for that device.
