Frequently Asked Question
Your inbox can be sorted so that the largest messages are at the top, allowing you to quickly see which emails are taking up the most space. Clearing out these messages is the quickest way to free up space in your inbox.
STEP 01) From your Outlook Inbox (either from the Outlook Windows app on a District computer, or from the web version of Outlook at mail.cuesd.com) click the Filter dropdown and select the [Size] option.
Messages are now ordered by total size, with the largest messages on top.
STEP 02) Select messages that are safe to delete and press the [Delete] key on your keyboard or use the Delete button on the top toolbar to move these messages to your [Deleted Items] folder. You can highlight sequential messages by clicking the first message, then holding down the [SHIFT] key and clicking the last message. You may also select multiple individual messages by holding down the [CTRL] key and then regular-clicking messages. Please check each message to ensure you no longer need it before deleting.
STEP 03) Locate the [Deleted Items] folder from the left pane (if you do not see this in Outlook for Windows, click the arrow above the Inbox tab to expand the left pane.)
STEP 04) Right-click the [Deleted Items] folder and select Empty Folder from the list of options that appears.
STEP 05) Return to the Filter dropdown (used in Step 01) and sort by Date to switch your inbox back to seeing newest emails first, instead of by size.
